What happens if I don’t do anything about my renewal?

Updated over 2 months ago

It depends. Your policy may renew automatically, but several conditions must be met first:

  1. Your insurer wants to renew your policy.

  2. You have provided all required documents & insurer approved them.

  3. The payment goes through – either from you or your lender.

If any of these conditions aren’t met, your current policy will simply expire.

Important! We always recommend you review your renewal before the renewal date to make sure everything is in place. Your insurer may have added a new requirement for the renewal, so a new task could appear in your account. Failing to complete it may prevent your policy from renewing automatically.
